5 Steps For Washing A Wig!
Detangle your wig: Use a wide-tooth comb or your fingers to gently get rid of any tangles. Start at the tips and work your way up to the roots, always combing downwards. 💁♀️✨
- Wash it up: Fill a bowl with warm water (not too hot!) and add a splash of wig shampoo. Swirl it around to mix, then dunk your wig in and let it soak for 5 minutes. 🧼💧
- Rinse, rinse, rinse: Rinse the wig in tepid water until it’s squeaky clean and all the shampoo’s gone. Be sure to rinse from root to tip so it stays smooth! 🌊
Top Tip: Don’t rub the wig while washing—it’s a no-no! 🚫
Condition and soften: Mix tepid water with wig conditioner, dunk the wig in, and let it soak for 5-10 minutes. Rinse the same way as before! 🧴💖
Dry it off: After gently patting the wig with a towel to remove excess water, you have two options:
Air dry: Let your wig dry naturally on a wig stand or poly head. 🧖♀️💨
Blow dry: If you’re in a hurry, set the blow dryer to cool or low heat. Gently blow dry the wig while combing through it, from root to tip, to keep it smooth and shiny. 💨✨
Congrats! You’ve just washed and dried your wig like a pro! 🎉
